Magda Triantafyllidou

was born in Thes­sa­loni­ki. She stud­ied archi­tec­ture at the Aris­to­tle Uni­ver­si­ty of Thes­sa­loni­ki and at the Czech Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty in Prague. She car­ried out her research work on “Peo­ple with dif­fer­ent cir­cum­stances, from the insti­tu­tion to the com­mu­ni­ty” in 2009. Her love for design­ing and mak­ing clothes and acces­sories led to her admis­sion to the Depart­ment of Cre­ative Design and Cloth­ing at the Inter­na­tion­al Uni­ver­si­ty of Greece. She worked with cloth­ing design agen­cies until 2012 when she cre­at­ed her own stu­dio. To this day she is still involved in the pro­duc­tion of main­ly chil­dren’s cloth­ing, acces­sories and dec­o­ra­tive objects. At the same time she orga­nizes cre­ative work­shops for learn­ing sewing and pat­terns in var­i­ous cre­ative spaces in Thes­sa­loni­ki. She has tak­en part in the actions of the move­ment “Who made my clothes?” and par­tic­i­pates in exhi­bi­tions and fes­ti­vals of pro­duc­ers and crafts­men (Green­wave, eco-fairs) that pro­mote fair trade and sus­tain­able devel­op­ment.
