Christos Kissas

was born in Thessaloniki in 1985. In mid-1998 he started his first steps in dance as a self-taught dancer with the style “Popping Animation”. Since 2000 until today he has been part of the breakdance group Total Reality, (one of the pioneering Hip-hop dance groups in Greece).

In 2005 a very serious car accident made him a disabled person (cranio-cerebral injuries). This was a motivation for him to understand what it is he wants to do in his life. Through art, he was able to make leaps and bounds in both his health and his social life. Since then, he began to systematically attend and participate in interdisciplinary seminars, workshops, and programmes, both in Greece and abroad (under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and the Greek Choreographers Association), on healing through the arts, the contribution of art and sport in the development of social skills, as well as the benefits of including people with disabilities in artistic activities. In 2009 she became co-creator of the experimental dance group “Dance and the Mind” which is still active today and consists of people with and without disabilities. As a member of this group, he has participated in various artistic activities, performances, and presentations.
